LOCATION:                Gonzales, Louisiana & Surrounding Areas

TYPE:                          Full-Time (Monday-Friday, Dayshift)

SUMMARY: 

The Field Service Technician for our Louisiana territory will be an experienced heavy equipment/diesel Technician who is passionate about repairing and maintaining equipment and helping to provide our customers with technical support and expertise. 

Our Technicians provide service on a variety of equipment in the field including hydrovacs, street sweepers and refuse products. The Field Service Technician will be a self-starter who enjoys the variety of being on the road, focuses on working safely and efficiently and goes above and beyond to ensure our customers are satisfied.
 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment failures and perform hydraulic, electrical and mechanical repairs on various types of equipment
  • Perform diagnostics to determine repairs required
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with the Parts & Service teams on job progress and status changes
  • Update work order system
  • Maintain organized and safe work area, shop tools and service vans

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education from an accredited technical school in diesel engine/hydraulics/heavy equipment repair preferred but not required
  • Valid CDL driver's license (or ability to obtain a CDL) and a clean driver's abstract
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • 3+ years' experience working in a mechanic / technician role
  • Experienced with hydraulic and/or electrical work

 

SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Employees must:

  • Work in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation/regulations/safety policies
  • Report any known workplace hazard or safety violations
  • Cooperate with their workplace's Safety Committee or health and safety representative
  • Use any safety equipment, protective devices or clothing required
  • Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the Company or by the regulations.
