Senior Utility Coordinator (Project Management)



GPIis seeking a Senior Utility Coordinator to join our GPI Florida team.You will coordinate all facets of utility issues relating to assigned roadway projects with government agencies, municipalities, project owners, utility owners, designers, and construction teams to ensure all utilities are identified and proper accommodation plans are devised and communicated. This position reports to the Florida Utility Coordination Manager.

Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between Utility Agency Owners (UAOs), designers, and government agenciesPerform records research, field reviews, and identify potential utility conflicts by reviewing plansDetermine the need for Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE)Support and/or lead the development of proposals and contract negotiationSupport engineer of record in the development of utility conflict matricesConduct meetings with project stakeholders for conflict resolutionDevelop utility agreements and utility relocation estimatesDevelop and track utility work schedulesDetermine the responsible agency for utility reimbursementRecords management, ability to organize and maintain design and project files, and providing documented QA/QC at each utility deliverablePreparation and submittal of Utility Certification/Clear Packages in adherence to project scheduleParticipate in constructability reviews
Qualifications:
10+ years of FDOT utility coordination experienceExperience working with FDOT Utility Procedures Manual (UPM), and FDOT Utility Accommodation Manual (UAM)Thorough understanding of bridge, roadway, and utility construction processes
Other Experience / Knowledge a plus, but not required:
Experience in OpenRoads/MicroStationExperience in AutoCAD/Civil 3DKnowledge of FDOT Utility Work by Highway Contractor Plans Development
