As a Senior Software Engineer at Elekta, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will work within a product development team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of software projects. This role requires a blend of hands-on coding and technical oversight.
We need your expertise to create software that is simple, elegant, and easy to use, ensuring that clinicians spend their time fighting cancer. Be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to improving, prolonging, and saving lives through technology achievements.
Responsibilities -
You will produce scalable, high-performance software solutions that advance our product offerings. A strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles is required, as well as the ability to stay abreast of trends in software engineering and technology.
Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance software solutions.
Collaborate with team members to define technical requirements and project scope.
Design and implement robust, scalable software architectures.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry standards.
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting for high-quality delivery.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Balance development tasks with technical responsibilities.
Author and review technical specifications.
Represent engineering product team in cross-functional meetings.
Influence technical strategies.
Qualifications -
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years in software development and 3 years in software design and architecture.
Strong proficiency in application development (e.g., .NET, C#, RESTful APIs).
Good knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles.
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting for high-quality delivery.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud computing, and cloud architecture.
Proven track record of contributing to and delivering complex software initiatives.
A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
Knowledge of health interoperability standards.

The US base salary range for this position is $140,000- 165,000 + 5% Annual Bonus
