As a Senior Software Engineer at Elekta, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will work within a product development team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of software projects. This role requires a blend of hands-on coding and technical oversight.

We need your expertise to create software that is simple, elegant, and easy to use, ensuring that clinicians spend their time fighting cancer. Be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to improving, prolonging, and saving lives through technology achievements.

Responsibilities -

You will produce scalable, high-performance software solutions that advance our product offerings. A strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles is required, as well as the ability to stay abreast of trends in software engineering and technology.

  • Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance software solutions.

  • Collaborate with team members to define technical requirements and project scope.

  • Design and implement robust, scalable software architectures.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry standards.

  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting for high-quality delivery.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Balance development tasks with technical responsibilities.

  • Author and review technical specifications.

  • Represent engineering product team in cross-functional meetings.

  • Influence technical strategies.

Qualifications -

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years in software development and 3 years in software design and architecture.

  • Strong proficiency in application development (e.g., .NET, C#, RESTful APIs).

  • Good knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles.

  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting for high-quality delivery.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud computing, and cloud architecture.

  • Proven track record of contributing to and delivering complex software initiatives.

  • A passion for continuous learning and professional development.

  • Knowledge of health interoperability standards.

The US base salary range for this position is $140,000- 165,000 + 5% Annual Bonus
