Product Marketing Manager - Yahoo Sports and Yahoo Fantasy

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager, with a strong background in customer acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies to join our team and drive the success of Yahoo Sports and Yahoo Fantasy business. You will focus on optimizing the customer journey from acquisition through long-term loyalty. This role requires a deep understanding of how to drive measurable results through new consumer growth, improving engagement and retention, and reducing churn. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with precision in execution, capable of leading cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious retention targets.

Position Overview:

You will be a key driver of marketing efforts aimed at boosting retention and revenue growth: you will create, implement, and optimize scalable lifecycle campaigns across various channels, user segments, and life stages while ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience. Your relentless focus on user experience and channel optimization will help create an outstanding product engagement program. This role will mainly be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that maximize retention, customer engagement, satisfaction, and revenue throughout the entire customer journey. This role will also assist with broader campaign execution that helps to bring new customers into the Yahoo Sports ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies that increase customer retention, loyalty, and revenue across Yahoo Fantasy, Yahoo Fantasy Plus, and Yahoo Sports
  • Co-create and manage customer segmentation and targeting strategies to optimize the customer journey in collaboration with CRM, O&O, and media teams.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including on and off-product, digital campaigns, newsletters, and triggered messages that increase frequency, generate revenue and reduce churn.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, media, CRM and analytics, to develop and execute initiatives, ensuring a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop an engaging content strategy used to personalize user experience and drive discoverability.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report campaign performance to optimize results and ROI.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform marketing strategies and identify opportunities for improving the customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain a testing and experimentation framework to continuously improve campaign performance and customer experience.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of customer behavior, preferences, and needs to inform marketing strategy.
  • Ability to manage creative / media agencies on the execution of performance marketing campaigns and timeline / budget management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Passionate about sports and the sports / gaming industry
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in product marketing, with a specific focus on lifecycle marketing and CRM.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful lower funnel lifecycle campaigns, including CRM, owned, and paid channels.
  • Has experience with upper funnel and acquisition marketing
  • Must drive projects forward and push teams vs. waiting for assignments
  • Must thrive in ambiguity, be nimble, and be flexible while still developing a process that keeps teams on track
  • Ability to simplify complex marketing plans and organize presentations that are digestible while still including the proper amount of detail
  • Has a positive disposition. Operating from a place of yes and is solutions oriented
  • Extremely proactive and ambitious with the ability to keep projects fun in the process
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record working on a multi-platform product - desktop, mWeb and mobile app
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems and analytics platforms. Zeta knowledge is a plus.

The compensation for this position ranges from $102,000.00 - $212,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
