You will be engaged in analyzing failures of a myriad of products from a variety of industries from automotive, construction, consumer products, consumer electronics and medical devices to name a few. RESPONSIBILITIES

Exceptional analytical skills, problem solving, communication skills, and creativity are the foundation for successful Interns at Secretariat.

  • Assist with conducting hands-on failure analysis investigations
  • Executing laboratory testing
  • Asist with conducting field inspections
  • Collecting and analyzing mechanical system performance data
  • Summarizing drawings, technical manuals, standards, and codes
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical reports
  • Assisting with the preparation of critique reports examining the conclusions of other experts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Expected graduation date between December 2025 and September, 2027
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Able to quickly assimilate relevant information in unfamiliar situations
  • The ability to manage and prioritize your time, potentially against a backdrop of competing deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent listening, verbal, written, technical, and presentation skills
  • The ability to travel as-needed
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
