Sr Supervisor Supply Planning - Hybrid (Finance)

A Day in the Life
This role will lead site Purchase and Production Planning teams at the Louisville CO manufacturing site. As the Sr. Supervisor, Supply Chain Planning, you will manage all aspects of production planning, raw material procurement, and inventory management including establishing stocking levels and reducing excess inventories. You will establish and drive continuous improvement plans in the areas of employee development and supply chain improvements. This position supports on-site manufacturing through effective material management and production schedule development. You will play a key role in balancing supply with demand, driving process improvements, and mentoring a high-performing team.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as key participant in the monthly Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) where you will identify and escalate exceptions for business consideration with the suggestion of possible scenarios and solutions.
  • Serve as liaison to Supply team, finance teams and plant operations with regards to volume planning.
  • Lead supply chain planning activities for new product introductions (NPIs) and associated ramp-down activities of existing product version, including material readiness, production ramp-up coordination, managing demand forecasts for uninterrupted service, and cross-functional alignment to ensure timely and cost-effective product transitions.
  • Ensure the right material availability to ensure no line down and achieve manufacturing schedule adherence targets.
  • Be a Coach and Mentor to Purchase and Production planning team. Document best practices and train team members on standard work.
  • Maintains optimum inventory levels as per budgets, to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements
  • Drive purchasing processes to maintain balance between inventory and service requirements. Support supply chain disruptions to recover on material shortages.
  • Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all material department functions
  • Function skillfully as the key core team member for large-scale and/or complex projects providing value that reaches beyond the supply chain role.
  • Effectively manage the supply chain to meet and exceed KPI's relating to service levels, backlog, inventory levels/inventory weeks, and backorder dollars.
  • Manage Last Time Buys (LTBs) for discontinued or end-of-life materials by forecasting future demand, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring sufficient inventory is secured to support ongoing production and service commitments without creating excess or obsolete stock.
  • Drive the Inventory Management Plan for all levels of inventory (Plant FG, PLANT RM & WIP). Ensures the plan includes stocking levels to meet global customer requirements as well as achieving the company's financial objectives.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
  • Proficiency in SAP, Blue Yonder, Power BI, and MS Office (Power Point and Microsoft Excel (advanced level))
  • Knowledge of production planning, supplier management, logistics, transportation, and warehousing
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively as a leader and/or team member with cross-functional teams
  • Medical device or electronics manufacturing experience
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Demonstrated project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience executing PIPO projects and supporting product lifecycle transitions
  • Experience implementing/leading problem solving methods with LEAN, Six Sigma, or A3 techniques a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and forecasting
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change in a matrixed, global organization
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and leadership capabilities - listening, understanding, anticipating, and solving

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$90,400.00 - $135,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
