ECOA Coordinator (Finance)

What You'll Do:

The ECOA Specialist position contributes to the Credit Department by assisting Sales, Underwriters, Processing, and Management with denial, withdrawal, and closed for incompleteness requests. The ECOA Specialist role also monitors regulations and agency guidelines changes impacting the credit decision and denial process.

  • Review and process decline requests from underwriting and the operations teams. Issue Adverse Action Notices to the customer on denied transactions.

  • Review and process withdrawal and denial requests from Processing and Sales on applications outside the underwriting queue.

  • Monitor loan applications prior to Loan Setup to ensure files are turned into operations with enough time to render a credit decision. Issue a Needs Letter to the customer when critical documentation is missing from the loan file.

  • Update denial and withdrawal procedures to align with changes to regulations or agency guidelines

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years' experience with  Conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-Conforming underwriting guidelines.

  • Knowledge of Reg B compliance policies

  • High School Diploma

  • Advanced Computer Skills

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $50,000 to $65,000 annually, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
