Head of Design, Corporate , VP (Finance)

We seek an exceptional, visionary Head of Corporate UX/UI, US to lead our enterprise user experience organization and drive digital transformation across our financial services platforms in the US. You are a strategic design leader with a proven track record of building and scaling world-class UX/UI organizations within complex, regulated environments. You excel at translating business objectives into user-centered design strategies that deliver measurable impact across multiple product lines and business units. You are an influential executive who can champion design thinking at the highest levels of the organization while building strong partnerships across technology, product, and business stakeholders. What you will be responsible for

As Head of Design, Corporate you will

  • Drive design transformation strategy in the US: Define and execute the comprehensive UX/UI vision and strategy across all US corporate digital products and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and scale high-performing teams: Recruit, develop, and manage a team of 5-10 UX/UI professionals, including senior designers, UX researchers, UI Engineers, and design operations specialists across multiple locations.
  • Drive executive stakeholder engagement: Present design strategies and initiatives to senior leadership, securing buy-in and resources for user experience investments.
  • Establish design excellence standards: Support design systems, standards, and processes that ensure consistency and quality across all digital touchpoints while enabling scalable product development.
  • Champion user-centered culture: Evangelize design thinking methodologies throughout the organization, training cross-functional teams, and establishing user research as a cornerstone of product development.
  • Oversee end-to-end design operations: Manage complex, multi-year design initiatives from conception through implementation, coordinating with technology, product, compliance, and business teams.
  • Measure and optimize design impact: Establish key performance indicators for user experience success, regularly assess the business impact of design initiatives, and continuously optimize based on data and user feedback.
  • Navigate regulatory and compliance requirements: Ensure all design solutions meet stringent financial services regulations while maintaining exceptional user experiences.
  • Foster innovation and emerging technologies: Lead exploration of cutting-edge design technologies including AI/ML integration, voice interfaces, and advanced data visualization techniques.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships: Oversee relationships with external design agencies, research firms, and technology partners to augment internal capabilities.

Education
  • Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field preferred; Bachelor's degree in Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required.

Experience
  • 12+ years of progressive UX/UI leadership experience in enterprise software or financial services environments.
  • 7+ years in senior management roles leading cross-functional design organizations of 10+ professionals.
  • Proven track record of successful digital transformation initiatives in large, complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting design systems and operations at enterprise scale.
  • Strong background in both B2B and B2C product design within regulated industries.

  • Outstanding leadership and people management capabilities with experience building diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Expert-level knowledge of design thinking methodologies, user research, and data-driven design practices.
  • Deep understanding of modern design tools, technologies, and emerging trends in UX/UI.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using design metrics and KPIs to drive decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in matrixed organizations.

Additional optional requirements
  • Financial services expertise: Solid understanding of banking, investment management, or institutional financial services products and user workflows.
  • Digital transformation leadership: Proven experience leading organization-wide digital transformation initiatives and cultural change management.
  • Advanced research capabilities: Experience establishing and scaling user research operations, including specialized research with institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Technology leadership: Understanding of modern development practices, API design, and technical architecture as it relates to user experience.
  • Global experience: Experience managing distributed teams and designing for international markets with varying regulatory requirements.
  • Accessibility expertise: Knowledge of inclusive design principles and accessibility compliance (WCAG, Section 508)

Salary Range:
$150,000 - $232,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
