Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Configure, code, test and implement technology systems supporting the roadmap as determined by the Product Owner. Work closely with cross functional team members to ensure solutions are implemented using an Agile mindset and supports consistent incremental delivery of a Minimum Viable Product. Provide operational support to troubleshoot, identify root cause and resolve product issues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Fully understand the product vision and the business processes supported by technology systems; Support the Product Owner in understanding technical implications, dependencies, and tradeoffs in the product/sprint backlog; assist the Product Owner and Product Manager in defining success/acceptance criteria.
  • Configure/code technology systems and ensure appropriate system integration with dependent solutions; create technical specifications when handing off to other technology resources for development; ensure all configuration, development and integrations are thoroughly tested and ready for deployment.
  • Actively Collaborate with Product Owner, Product Manager, and other SME's to identify and document business training materials.
  • Actively plan and implement product improvements; Maintain and upgrade existing technology systems.
  • Work with external vendors and product support analysts to troubleshoot system issues and provide resolution.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business/IT/Computer Science or related field OR a combination of education plus equivalent level work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in technology and software development processes
  • 5+ years experience in implementations and ongoing operations of business applications in a Technical Analyst or Business Analyst role.
  • 2+ years business systems analyst experience in an Agile/Scrum software development environment preferred.
  • Experience working with business functions to understand and map processes to functional and technical specifications.
  • Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user in a software development environment.
  • Functional configuration experience in one of the following: SAP/other ERP software and/or Salesforce/other CRM software.
  • Understanding of inbound/outbound interfaces is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL Databases and ability to write/run SQL queries a plus.
  • Previous experience within the consumer products industry a plus.
  • Experience prioritizing multiple tasks, managing tasks, and adapting to changing environment.
  • Knowledge of process analysis and design preferred.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working and adapting to a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business impact and prioritize assignments.
  • Able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Communicate with and train people at all levels within BT/IT, business and vendors/consultants as needed to manage and execute projects and support existing systems.
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time by car or plane.

Physical Functions

Constantly (85%) required to sit. Occasionally (15%) required to lift up to 20 lbs, walk, and stand

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

None required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English proficiently.
