Advanced Practice Provider Orthopedics (Finance)



The Department of Orthopedics is seeking a Pediatric APP to our Orthopaedic team in Wilmington Delaware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for collaborative medical management and orthopedic surgical care of pediatric patients.
  • Responsible for communicating with families and coordinating care across multiple specialties for both the hospital and outpatient setting.
  • Practices collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers to provide high quality health care to children.
  • Performs ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient progress and revision of interdisciplinary plan of care.
  • May use prescriptive authority if appropriately credentialed to do so.
  • Identifies patient/family need for further resources and initiates appropriate referrals.
  • Evaluates compliance with the prescribed treatment regimen through telephone calls, family/patient assessments and outpatient visits as needed.

Qualifications
  • Three years of related clinical experience preferred
  • Active Delaware (or compact state) Registered Nurse Licensure required for PNPs
  • Active Delaware Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure, with prescriptive authority or Physician Assistant Licensure with or without prescriptive authority required
  • Delaware Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) & Federal DEA registration with Delaware Address
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Pennsylvania Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant Licensure, with prescriptive authority required within 6 months of hire
  • Current Pediatric Acute Care APRN Certification for PNPs
