Immunization Coordinator (Personal Services)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Immunization Coordinator works with all Clinical teams to coordinate vaccine management at Amoskeag Health. Under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager and their designees, the Immunization Coordinator is a highly skilled medical professional responsible for the oversight of the Immunization Requirement Program. This position reviews immunization records, identifies non-compliance, organizes appointment scheduling and serves as a knowledgeable resource for immunization policies, and helps ensure the health and well-being of the Amoskeag Health Community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Immunization Ordering: manage ordering of vaccines from both the State of NH and from Amoskeag Healths vendor. Manages logging in orders received, separating shipments into appropriate bins, completing required reports on utilization and vaccine agreements with the State of NH. Primary contact for NH Immunization program. Primary contact for NHIIS (state vaccine registry)Reports: includes monthly ordering report (for vaccines), monthly non-compliance report, monthly 18-month old quality reportPreloading of pediatric and adult immunization records (including Covid vaccinations)Staff training: Responsible for orientation of all new employees to immunization program, storage, labeling, documentation, and competency. Working with Staff educator to implement vaccine trainings. Daily Visit Preps: Complete immune preps on all child visits, adult refugee clinic, Influenza and Immunization clinics. Refrigerator/Freezer Oversight: Responsible for assuring daily logs on temperature are maintained in concordance with State of NH regulations and completed regularly. Responsible for completing regular alarm tests and coordinating repairs when necessary. Responsible for transferring vaccines to all Amoskeag Health sites if needed and managing vaccine inventory (expiration dates). Assume responsibility for special projects as assigned by supervisor.Participate in the orientation of new personnel to these functions.Attend and participate in Amoskeag Health staff meetings and other meetings as directed; to include involvement in committees as requested. If absent, responsible for reading minutes of meetings and signing the documentation.Attend mandatory safety-related and infection control in-services as designated by the Senior Management Team.Sensitivity to cultural diversity of population served. Maintain client age-related competence.
