Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatry (Finance)



Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware is hiring a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to join our team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Have a full panel of patients with psychiatric needs ages 6-21 years of age in an outpatient setting completing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, developing and executing ongoing treatment plans, including medication management and coordinating care with relevant disciplines and services.
  • Will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, consultants, nurses, and other health care providers
  • Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in educational functions of the department (e.g. didactic teaching, precepting trainees, consultation with primary care)
  • Participate in relevant enterprise-wide initiatives and committees.
  • Assist with coverage of Consult Liaison Service primarily through at-home call weeknights and weekends and, when needed, daytime service as instructed by department leadership. Weeknight and weekend call is compensated separately.

Qualifications
  • Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • The ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team and adapt to a rapidly changing clinical environment are critical
  • Strong communication skills with team members are essential
