Position Summary:

The Clinical Instruction Program Manager (CIPM) plays a vital role in supporting the University of South Florida College of Nursing's educational mission by coordinating the recruitment, onboarding, and support of adjunct clinical faculty and preceptors. This position serves as a central point of contact between the College and its clinical partners, ensuring adjunct faculty and preceptors are equipped with the tools and information needed to deliver high-quality clinical instruction. The CIPM collaborates closely with program deans, clinical sites, adjunct faculty, and preceptors to maintain academic and professional standards in clinical education. Reports to the Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs.Bachelor's degree and four years experience.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

  • (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • (c) Six years of direct experience for a master's degree;
  • (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
  • (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree

Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.

Liaise with program deans to set goals for recruitment of qualified adjunct clinical faculty. Provide monthly (or more frequently if requested) progress reports to academic leadership.
Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified adjunct clinical faculty. All assignments will be approved by academic leadership prior to offer.
Maintain records of adjunct clinical faculty credentials, licensure, and clinical compliance with institutional and clinical site requirements.
Provide orientation and ongoing support related to course expectations, institutional policies, and evaluation procedures.

Preceptors:
Manage preceptor assignments and verify required paperwork.
Support preceptors by providing access to syllabi, evaluation tools, and instructional expectations.
Enroll preceptors in Preceptor Academy as needed and manage completion and certificates.

Clinical Sites:
Serve as the primary liaison between the College of Nursing and clinical sites.
Facilitate recruitment of new clinical partner sites and expansion of new and existing clinical placement rotations.
Maintain strong relationships with clinical partners through virtual and in person communications to ensure positive and sustained collaborations. The expectation is biannual meetings with partners. More frequently if needed or requested by academic leadership or the clinical site.
Manage time reporting, task completion, and related documentation for the Salvation Army Care Coordinator and future sites of Care Coordination.

Program Support & Communication:
Collect and analyze feedback from students and adjunct faculty to inform programmatic improvements.
Present feedback to program deans on a biannual basis with recommendations on areas of improvement.
Review adjunct faculty and course evaluations each semester and provide summary reports to the program deans.
Assist with communication flow between adjuncts, preceptors, clinical sites and the college to ensure clarity and consistency. Apply
