Job Description
Manage a defined customer portfolio to support business in pursuit of maximizing sales while mitigating risk. Key liaison to finance, sales and directly with the customer. Involves managing account credit limits, overdue balances and pursuing overdue payments. This is a hybrid role, we work on-site 4 days and remotely 1 day, weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain low levels of delinquency within receivable portfolio. Proactively solicit payment for improved cash flow and reduced Days Sales Outstanding.
  • Maximize collections efforts by developing and implementing an action plan with the C&C Manager.
  • Review customer delinquency, credit limit &/or credit related issues. Resolve issues; release orders in a timely manner to maximize sales.
  • Liaise with Sales and customer service to address issues related to delayed orders.
  • Gather pay history and related information to facilitate decision making for credit line extension.
  • Ensure customer service requirements are achieved by promptly handling inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Reconcile customer accounts with payments and assist Cash Applications with remittance information.
  • Evaluate daily operations of area on an on-going basis and initiate actions to enhance productivity, efficiency and profitability.
  • Assist the Claims Specialist and/or Customer Service Team with any research to timely address customer deductions. Liaise with in-house personnel and external customers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years collections account management including use of customer on-line portals
  • Have an understanding of complex deduction and chargeback process
  • Demonstrated professional with concise verbal and written communication skills
  • ERP system experience; strong preference for SAP
  • Intermediate Excel; VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail; process oriented
  • Organized and planful
  • Positive attitude; team player

Preferred Skills and Industry experience :

  • Wholesale experience
