Human Resources Analyst I - Talent Solutions (Finance)

We are seeking a Human Resources Analyst I to join the Talent Solutions team. In this role, you will support the Company's talent strategy through diverse responsibilities spanning DOT compliance administration, recruiting and hiring, training program development, and system enhancement initiatives. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and people-focused professional who can manage complex regulatory requirements, leverage emerging technologies like AI, and contribute to building a positive workplace culture while maintaining strict confidentiality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer the company's DOT compliance program, including managing drug and alcohol testing policies, maintaining driver qualification (DQ) files, and coordinating the onboarding process for new commercial drivers.
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain human resource records and documents, including employee handbook policies.
  • Partner with leadership to execute recruiting strategies, programs, and best practices that proactively support organizational staffing requirements.
  • Perform a variety of talent solutions assignments including recruiting, hiring, pre-employment screening, and onboarding.
  • Attend and participate in recruiting, networking, and collaborative events, such as job and career fairs.
  • Design, implement, and coordinate special events, trainings, and onboarding programs utilizing a variety of learning delivery methods (video, online, instructor led, etc.).
  • Leverage new technologies like AI for intra-company communications, job aids, employee onboarding programs, and job advertising.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Business Management, or Psychology preferred, with coursework or continuing education in human resources highly desirable.
  • No experience required.
    • Recruiting and compliance experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Our balanced work routine offers flexibility of hybrid work with the benefits of in-person collaboration. Team members are expected to be in the office between 3 to 5 days each week, ensuring productive team interaction and personal flexibility. This position will report to Duluth, MN.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Likely to attend occasional after hours and off-site recruiting, networking, and collaborative events.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid driver's license is preferred.
  • We seek a candidate who can both effectively utilize existing systems and apply analytical thinking to enhance system functionality beyond basic user requirements.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • The expected annual compensation range for this position is $51,000 - $63,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
